1.1.0 Bug Fixes, Features, and Patches


Bug Fixes

- Crafting an item that has an ingredient that is found in both the player slots and inventory slots will now not take an ingredient from a player slot. Additionally, items that are replaced by other items will also not interact with the player slots.

- Enemies will now be affected by certain weapons based on their secondary group affiliation.

- Fixed an issue with being set in front of the "Scenario Realizer" when first entering the area that contains it.

- Fixed an issue with certain weapons not being able to do more damage with the powerful offense and/or Cleus' blessing.

- Fixed an issue with "Key Combination Restrictions" infinitely adding to the "Running Background" list when you press and hold a bunch of keys at once.

- Fixed an issue with you being able to select multiple choices at the same time within the dialogue.

- Fixed up some inconsistencies with the "Bluntium Pan" button bonus in the "Clicker" minigame.

- Opening a chest in the "DARL" minigame does not reset the destination on the map screen.

- Save data from an incompatible version will not be carried over into a new game unintentionally.

- The "Craft" effect now doesn't come up when you choose to craft an item with insufficient ingredients.

- The equipment effects will now be applied at the start or continuation of the game without the need to open the inventory.

- The map will now not display a "Trouble 1 Indicator" until you get your first objective from Cleus.

- The "Pick Cursor" in the "Clicker" minigame will now not get stuck when pressing "H" to send it to a button on the same level as the "Bonus Indicator".

- The "Scroll Of Identify" will now not identify items that are in player slots.

- You now cannot dash by using "J", "K", "L", or "P".

- You will not be able to find a VHS NPC on the rooftops without accepting a hang out request.

- Your teammates will now be able to keep their buffs that were obtained from consumables.

Features

- Aegis and Saint's other weapons that come after the newer ones are now buffed!

- Aegis now has two new weapons which are "Blowgun" and "Harpoon". Both can be bought on the "Immediate Trade Computer"!

- After beating the game, you will be able to craft remotes that can allow you to test things out!

  1. "Chaos Alpha Remote" = Creates trouble event 1 in current area. (Enemy)
  2. "Chaos Beta Remote" = Creates trouble event 2 in current area. (Boss)
  3. "Chaos Gamma Remote" = Creates trouble event 3 in current area. ("Rescue" or "Trouble" minigame)
  4. "Destination Remote" = Creates destination in current area. (Adventure World or Treasure)
  5. "Chaos Toggle Remote" = Sets "Trouble" to 100 if it's lesser than 1. It also sets the "Trouble" to 0 if it's greater than 0.
  6. "Unpermanentizer Remote" = Delete most of what's in "Permanent Changes" (Starts parts of the game over except that you keep your money, inventory, and attributes).

- All the food and drink items crafted at the laboratory crafting station will now be relocated to the kitchen stove oven. It'll be accessible if you don't have all the low-quality MREs in your inventory.

- Cleus will now be able to assist you! You will need to get him a "Golden Inkwell"!

- Completing a job for Cobri will now bring down the chaos!

- "Creation Power"! You'll be able to have access to all items if you go into "Options" and change game setting before starting the game! You will be able to duplicate any item you want! You can also have the "Discover" setting on, so you'll have to obtain the item in question before you're able to duplicate it!

- "Hardcore"! This is a new game setting in the options menu! Saving is disabled until the game is beaten! Your damage output is decreased while the enemies have theirs increased! Enemies will tend to have backup and those that have greater combat potential may defeat you in a single hit! Becoming defeated will end your run immediately!

- Having read the "Book Of Stealth", you will no longer drain your power when you're using the "Smoke Pellets"!

- Holding "J" on a stat in the "Attributes" screen will automatically boost it!

- If you were defeated by a boss, you will now receive extra experience and a better chance of them dropping loot after getting revenge!

- Items such as the "Compass", "First Aid Kit", "Flashlight", and "Stopwatch" can all be interacted with to provide special benefits! The "Adventure Bag" and "DA Bag" can be used as alternatives to get all of the benefits from the items mentioned before!

  1. "Compass" = Allows you to obtain the "Map To Treasure" item. (You will no longer be able to obtain it by having the "Adventure Bag", "Compass", or "DA Bag" equipped in an accessory slot.)
  2. "First Aid Kit" = Replenishes some health after getting hit.
  3. "Flashlight" = Allows you to regenerate power in the morning and night.
  4. "Stopwatch" = Allows you to dash without consuming power.

- "Normal Game"! This is a new game setting in the options menu! It being set to "No" will unlock everything that is usually accessible only through progression!

- Piercing is now a factor in fighting enemies! By default, you can only hit one enemy at a time! Several weapons will allow you to hit multiple enemies!

- "Progression"! This is a new game setting in the options menu! Setting this to "No" will grant you access to most items and features that are typically locked behind progression!

- "Randomize Areas"! This is a new game setting in the options menu! It takes every area in the game and shuffles it all around the world! However, several places are set to not be randomized!

- "Randomize Enemies"! This is a new game setting in the options menu! It takes every enemy in the game and shuffles them all around!

- "Randomize Items"! This is a new game setting in the options menu! It takes every item in the game and shuffles it all around! A few things are set to not be randomized, so you can still technically beat the game!

- Safes can be found in some of the city areas! Don't get greedy!

- Saint now has two new weapons which are "Bullwhip" and "Rolling Pin"! Both can be bought on the "Immediate Trade Computer"!

- Saint will now be able to raise his mood by eating oranges!

- Several weapons will now have attributes that grant the player benefits such as a chance to never miss when attacking or firing and also a chance to always dodge! Perfect weapons will have a 100% success rate!

- "Success Streak"! This is a new game mode that is activated using the "Unpermanentizer Remote" and "Chaos Toggle Remote" once the normal game is beaten! Enemies will get stronger based on how low the trouble is and each successful run will make the next run harder!

- "Survival"! This is a new game setting in the options menu! You'll have to maintain your hunger, thirst, and even body temperature! There are related items that can be bought at the city shop stand or crafted!

  1. Cooling Pads = Additional Body Temperature -5
  2. Ferno Pepper = Additional Body Temperature +5
  3. Frost Gulp Cup = Additional Body Temperature -5
  4. Hot Cocoa Mug = Additional Body Temperature +5
  5. Iced Out Chain = Additional Body Temperature -5
  6. Mineral Water Bottle = Thirst +33
  7. Orange Juice Cup = Thirst +33
  8. Spring Scarf = Additional Body Temperature +5

- The books that can be read will now have their own challenges. "Books Only" and "No Books".

- The game can now be reset back to the title screen while on the pause screen when you hold on the "End" option!

- The game now supports a "3-Button Sega Genesis USB" controller!

- The guidebook now mentions all the player abilities like "Dash" and "Powerful Offense"!

- The "Heat Katana" is now effective against criminals!

- The "Hit Em' Up Vol. 1-5" and "Tanking Damage Vol. 1-5" books can be read, which results in boosting the player's base stats!

- The "Money Bag" item can now be crafted using "Map To Criminal HQ" and "Serum C"! All of the golden artifacts and the "Map To Treasure" item can be used to craft the "Blessed Money Bag"! This will only work if you are not playing a normal game or if the game is beaten!

- The new weapons can be obtained in the "DARL" minigame! Also, the "Unknown Weapon" item loot will now be more randomized!

- The "No Save" challenge is now available! You will fail the challenge once you save before beating the game!

- The player has a new ability called "Powerful Offense"! This ability grants them +10 offense at the cost of 10 power while attacking/firing!

- There are five new items in the game. "Super Seasoning", "Super Bacon", "Super Mini Oil Drum", "Super Orange" and "Super MRE". The seasoning can be purchased at the "Immediate Trade Computer"  and then used to craft each of the five super foods. Consuming the food will boost all stats for a day.

- There are now a total of 47 types of music that'll be heard in the game!

- There is now an option called "Time Skip" in the pause menu! You will be able to skip through parts of the day on the go!

- There is a new item called "Badge Of Discount"! Having this item equipped will reduce all prices by 50%! This item can be bought at the city shop stand after you spend at least $1500!

- There is a new item called "Brawler Scroll! It'll boost your offense by 5 and your defense by 50 during an unarmed attack! This item can be bought at the city shop stand!

- There is a new item called "Canteen Bottle"! It can be bought at the "Immediate Trade Computer" and you can craft with this at the "Stove Oven" into a state in which it can be consumed to quench your thirst!

- There is a new item called "Essence Swapper"! It can only be used once a day and it is recharged when resting into the next day! Using this item will swap both your health and power only if your power is greater than 0! It can be crafted using "Brass Ingot", "Health Recovery Pin", "Power Recovery Pin", and "Zoid Laser Gun Parts"!

- There is a new item called "3 Food Bars"! You can craft this at the "Stove Oven" into a state in which it can be consumed to satiate your hunger!

- There is a new item called "Powerful Offense Scroll"! It'll boost your powerful offense damage output to 100! You may receive this item from Cleus!

- There is a new item called "Random Loot Box"! It can be acquired after the game is beaten! It's an item that randomly gives you another item, regardless of whether you obtained it before or not! This item can be bought at the city shop stand!

- There is a new item called "Spring Bag"! It'll allow you to store items in it and take them out! It can be crafted and there are a total of three varieties that each have different storage capacities!

- There will be three new weapons that can be bought at the city shop stand! "Secret Pick", "Secret Glove", and "Secret Pan"! These will only be available if you're doing the "Weapons Only" challenge! These can be used to craft epic weapons such as the "Perfect Dantromium Pick", "Perfect Plasma Glove", and the "Perfect Bluntium Pan"! All of these weapons are effective on enemies when you attack/fire from behind!

- There will now be a variety of level-up sounds!

- The "Accessories Only" challenge being active will allow you to do +100 damage to all enemies by powering up! The damage varies depending on how close you are to them!

- The "Attributes Only" challenge being active will allow you to do extra damage with your "Powerful Offense" ability using the "Attribute Points Left" value! You will also earn 5 more attribute points when leveling up!

- The "Books Only" challenge being active will allow you to fire books which gives you more range! Your damage stacks based on how much unique books you have in your inventory!

- The "Food Only" challenge being active will allow you to craft the "Crave Tablet"! The item will have three states that can switch to one another and if it's in a state that matches what you're craving in the day, your offense will be boosted by 95! You will also be assisted by a giant knife falling onto your enemies which does half of the player's offense and also has half of the player's critical chance!

- The "Transmutation Station" is a new object that allows you to convert one item into another! You need to power it on by buying the "Transmutation Chip" from the "Immediate Trade Computer"!

- The trouble indicators on the "Map" screen will be different colors based on the remotes! Most of the indicators on the map will be blinking!

- The "Zoid Laser Gun" will be available once the game is beaten! You'll be able to purchase it at the city shop stand!

- With your mood high, enemies are now more likely to drop loot if you defeat them without getting hit!

- You can now quickly switch characters within the inventory by pressing "H" on any player slot!

- You now have the "Power Up" ability! This will replenish all of your power at the cost of your health!

- You will be able to hold "J" to click automatically in the "Clicker" minigame!

- You will now be able to enchant your weapons with the use of weapon enchantments! These enchantments will operate similarly to the totems, except that they deplete your power every time you attack or fire! These enchantments will only last until you switch weapons! These weapon enchantments, which are "Vigilante Weapon Enchantment", "Hero Weapon Enchantment", and "Superhero Weapon Enchantment" can be bought at the city shop stand!

- You will now be able to start the game with your teammates already with you!

- You will now get cravings for specific foods such as "Banana", "Mango", and "Okra"! All of these foods can be bought at a shop stand in the city! Fulfilling these cravings will result in a small boost in all stats for the day! You will have a chance to get craving messages after waking up on a new day! If you're doing the "Food Only" challenge, you'll always get a craving message!

Patches

- Added a ":" after "Always start with" on page 19 of the guidebook.

- All bosses have their health raised! However, they keep their original amount when in the adventure world.

- An assist will now only hit enemies if their health is greater than 0.

- Anyone that is captured will be released when the chaos is gone after sleeping into the next day.

- A VHS NPC will no longer appear to assist you if they are captured.

- Certain achievements cannot be executed within the "Scenario Realizer".

- Certain boss effects will now have a color that indicates which player they're targeting.

- Cleus' blessing will now only apply to the player and not your teammates.

- Cleus will now mention the current part of the day based on what it actually is rather than just saying "Afternoon".

- Doing the "Books Only" challenge will result in you always getting a Cleus book page from a boss.

- Exiting out of the "Achievements" screen will now play a sound.

- Failing trouble minigames outside of the "Scenario Realizer" will now count as a defeat to the player. You would fail the "No Defeat" challenge as a result.

- GEO's "Offense" and "Critical Chance" have been nerfed a bit.

- Going in and out of "DARL" will not increase your money while the "Pin Of Wealth" is equipped.

- Hunger in the "DARL" minigame will now be only within the range of 0 to 100.

- I added a space in between the "K" and "=" in Cleus' end-game dialogue.

- I changed the player stats to be composed of two things. "Base" and "Additional".

- Interacting with the "To: You From: Citizens" item will bring your mood up by 25.

- In the "Clicker" minigame, if your "Speed" is less than 1 while the "Critical Chance" is greater than 0, the clicker button will default to adding 1 instead of nothing.

- In the "DARL" minigame, the hunger value will no longer be kept high by switching characters.

- Music will always play when you're talking to citizens and VHS NPCs.

- The "Adventure Radar" item will now only be used once a day. During crafting, you will get the "Adventure Radar (Low Battery)" item.

- The "DARL" minigame can now save and load its backgrounds.

- The destination indicator being in the area where you can chill with your significant other will be reset when you chill.

- The hunger mechanic in the "DARL" minigame will now drain health due to starvation until it reaches 25%.

- The mailbox now requires you to have at least one inventory slot that is empty to open it.

- The pause screen "Map", "Save", and "End" options will show as strike-through text while you're in the "DARL" minigame.

- The player's mood being over 74% in the wake-up dialogue will reveal two more exclamation points.

- The results of resting into the next day are now only limited to the "Next Day" option.

- The temple watcher will now acknowledge your teammates if you have them with you.

- The temple zoids will now be affected by weapons that are effective against zoids.

- The variable background color will only be changed at the start of the game.

- The "Venture" minigame achievement now requires you to have at least 10,000 score.

- The version number in the "Options" screen now has a "v" in front of it.

- There are more enemies that are affected by certain weapons:

  1. "Dantromium Pick" = "Alien" and "Critman"
  2. "Bluntium Wrench" = "Phanto"
  3. "Dantromium Sword" & "Perfect Dantromium Pick" = "Omega"

- "Time Skip" will now be disabled within the "DARL" minigame.

- Totems will now be obtained one at a time rather than all at once.

- Using items that can boost your base stats will always try to add up to the maximum value and never above it.

- VHS NPCs will let you know that they have already agreed to help you out when you ask them again.

- Weapons that are in use can only be hidden when you are facing the side of the screen that you are very close to.

- When at their place, part of the receiving food dialogue from your significant other will be changed to replace "brought" with "made".

- You now have to hold the "Save" option in the pause menu to save your progress.

- You now won't be able to immediately dash to the left after dashing to the right.

- Your significant other will not speak to you in a way that would violate the VHS Club policy while in the VHS Club.

- You will no longer use up "Smoke Pellets" while doing the "Fight" minigame.

- You will not be able to talk to any VHS NPC until you are given the objective to do so.

- You will now always receive food from a significant other if you're doing the "Food Only" challenge.

- You will now be set in front of the "Scenario Realizer" after exiting the other minigames.

- You will now have to be Dantro to change a pick into another variant.

- You will now have to hold a key down to travel to the north or south areas while enemies are around.

- You will now hear adventure music while in the adventure world.

- You will now not be able to get into a VHS NPC's home using map travel or area travel until you are given access by them.

- You will now only be able to hang out with a VHS NPC once a day.

- You will now regain all of your health and power from other stat-boosting sources after being defeated.

- You will only be able to quickly send a sellable item into the sell slot if it's in an inventory slot.

- You won't be able to do certain things when the part of the day is about to change.
